Shin Leaf Campground offers a quiet, refined outdoor experience on 13708 New Light Road — where the Forest Hills neighborhood ends and the pine forest begins.
Shin Leaf Campground was born from a simple conviction: the best outdoor experiences don't require sacrificing comfort. Nestled along New Light Road in Wake Forest, our grounds sit at the intersection of rural tranquility and suburban convenience — a rarity in the Triangle area.
We've preserved the existing pine canopy, routed our sites to maximize privacy, and built our amenities to serve campers who appreciate the finer details: clean water, reliable electricity, and a toilet facility that doesn't make you compromise. This isn't a staging ground for a day trip. It's a destination.
Whether you arrive with a full-size RV or a backpack, we have a site configured for your setup. Every site includes water, electric, and Wi-Fi access.
Gravel pads with 30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites accommodate up to 40-foot rigs with ample turn-around space.
Naturally shaded spots beneath the pine canopy. Gravel base with optional fire ring. Water spigots located within a short walk of each site.
Our most secluded sites feature a raised deck, outdoor seating, and premium lighting. Designed for guests who want the outdoors without the rough edges.
Contact us for current availability and seasonal pricing. All sites are first-come, first-served unless reserved by phone.
We've eliminated the compromises that usually come with camping. Every system on our property was chosen for reliability, not cost.
High-speed internet throughout the campground. Work remotely or stream your favorites without leaving the pines.
Indoor restrooms with hot showers, maintained daily. No porta-potties, no compromises, no surprises.
Every site includes a steel fire ring. Bring your own firewood or pick up a bag from the office.
On-site washer and dryer for extended-stay guests. Coin-operated, well-maintained, always available.
Self-check-in available any time. Pull in late, leave early — your reservation is yours around the clock.
Leashed pets welcome on all sites. Nearby walking trails and open spaces for your four-legged companions.
Private trail access from the campground. Explore wooded paths through Wake Forest's preserved pine lands.
Minimal light pollution makes our site ideal for night-sky viewing. A telescope or binoculars recommended.
